Emerald està canviant el disseny de la seva plataforma, anirem veient més millores en els propers mesos.
Per ara, a banda de temes visuals, potser el més destacable és que es podrà exportar a RefWorks. Trobareu la informació detallada en el següent missatge de l'editor :

Dear Colleague,
We are pleased to introduce the first in a series of managed improvements to our web platform – http://www.emeraldinsight.com.
Initial development has focused on creating a more intuitive, user-friendly design with enhanced search and browse capabilities making the site easier and more efficient to use. We have also taken the opportunity to give the site a fresh, new look.
The enhanced marked list facility now includes DirectExport functionality for the RefWorks citation management system. Enhancements to the marked list facility have been developed with kind assistance AdeptScientific.
Recent improvements include:
- Clearer style and layout of all web pages
- Improved and more consistent navigation
- Clearer Search and Advanced Search screens
- Browse options are clearer and easier to use – options to browse Just Journals, Just Books or Both; Alphabetic and Subject options also available simultaneously
- Quick Browse on Home page to latest issue of a journal chosen from drop down list
- Clearer symbols to show which content is accessible to subscribers
- “Related items” functionality on document request pages
- Articles now shown within site framework, with page headers, menus, branding etc
- Institutional login buttons more clearly visible
These imminent changes are the first in a series of developments to be introduced throughout 2010 that will see new and enhanced features, functionality and online services including:
- More logical and mainstream Pay Per View mechanism, based on Paypal
- E-mail alerts and RSS
- Reference linking
- Marked lists
- Help Pages
- Document updates (PDF & HTML)
- Authentication
